Inspired through a love of the film 'The Empire Strikes Back', and the pattern that audio commentaries could be expanded rather, Jambe Davdar set out to travel over what he calls an "audio/of the sight commentary" in the vein of Deleted Magic. He originally started the bulge in July 2005 and finished, 8 months later, in March 2006.
After agreeing to a ask for to show 'Building Empire' at the Miami Underground Film Festival in March 2008, Jambe produced some updated version of the documentary that included extra clips and minor corrections.
